Director of Technology, Digital Products, Globo
I’m Director of Technology for Digital Products at Globo, Brazil’s largest media group. I lead the product and engineering teams behind the globo.com homepage, g1, ge and gshow, the Globoplay streaming service, the sports streaming services Premiere and Combate, and the implementation of the DTV+ (TV 3.0) interactive experience.
I’ve been at Globo since 2009. I started as a Scrum Master and agile coach at Globo.com and went on to lead the video platform that powers Globoplay, driving its move to the cloud, our own CDN and the streaming of major events such as Big Brother Brasil and the FIFA World Cup. I coordinate the OTT/Streaming working group of SET (the Brazilian Society of Television Engineering) and speak regularly at events such as SET EXPO and NAB Show.
I was born in Recife and live in Rio de Janeiro.
Information Systems. MBA in Business Management from IBMEC-RJ and Executive MBA from COPPEAD/UFRJ. Guest lecturer at UFRJ’s MBA program (2014 and 2015).
